Judge’s Row is a custom West Coast home designed for retirement living on the beach that welcomes family, friends, and celebration.

As a custom home builder in Qualicum Beach, we worked closely with the homeowners to create a durable residence that was energy-efficient and low-maintenance, yet warm and inviting. The result is a residence that balances modern coastal design with a timeless sense of craftsmanship.

With a master suite on both the main and upper floors, provisions for an elevator, and a lockout guest suite above the garage, Judge’s Row was designed for comfort and flexibility.

Design Intent

The home’s design draws inspiration from the rhythm of the shoreline and the materials of the island. Locally sourced woods and stone flow from the exterior to the interior, grounding the home in its surroundings.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a custom timber-and-steel skylight bring abundant natural light into the great room. The result is a bright, open gathering space that reflects the home’s beachfront setting.

Multiple covered patios, firepits, and a sports court make outdoor living possible year-round, while direct access to a white sand beach turns everyday moments into something special. Each bedroom is its own sanctuary, filled with natural light and warmth.

Construction & Craftsmanship

Built on the last available lot in a well-established neighbourhood, the site required careful planning and consideration for nearby homeowners and the public beach access. The home’s structure and systems were then designed for longevity and energy efficiency using:
